Historically Significant
As well as being a choice aviation facility, Brighton City Airport is also a great day out thanks to its historically significant Grade II Listed hangar and art deco listed terminal building. The Main Terminal building was opened on 13th June 1936 under the name ‘Brighton Hove and Worthing Joint Municipal Airport’ and still stands proud, today. Aviation enthusiasts can enjoy a guided tour of these wonderful historic buildings and learn about how the Airport was utilised during the Second World War and post-war period before visiting the airport museum and visitors centre situated on site.
