Information for Pilots

Brighton City Airport is the perfect destination from which to explore the south coast of England and with easy access to the A27, a fantastic handling service and hangarage for rental on both long and short term basis, you can rest assured that your experience will be nice and smooth.

Our friendly, hard working staff are on hand to help you before, during and after your visit to the airport and can arrange transport, places to stay and more to ensure all of your needs are met.

Whether you’re flying in to visit Goodwood, or to spend some time in the beautiful city of Brighton and Hove, Brighton City Airport really should be your number one choice. Not only is the aerial approach breathtaking, thanks to the wonderful countryside that is spread out below, but you are also able to avoid the busy airspace of London.

Any aircraft not closed down on stand by airport closing time will be charged an additional fee. Information on this is available from the Airport Authority Accounts Department.

PPR Requirements

All visiting aircraft please telephone ATC, email or flightplan with the following:

ETA
Callsign/registration
Aircraft type
Departure airfield
POB
All movements, including based aircraft strictly PPR between 0800-0900 Monday to Friday. Air/Ground (non ATC) service provided between 0800-0900.

Operations outside of the aerodromes published hours are subject to Aerodrome Authority approval and are subject to an additional fee.

General Aviation Report

It is a requirement that all General Aviation flights inbound into the UK are notified by means of submitting a General Aviation Report (GAR) in advance of your arrival into the UK.

It is also a requirement to submit a GAR for outbound flights to the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and any destination outside the EU.

What you need to do?

Pilots and carriers are advised to download the GAR form, complete it electronically and send a copy by email to the national co-ordination unit (NCU) to send to Border Force or the police.

You should title your email: ‘GAR, airfield registration, name of airfield, postcode of airfield (if known)’. Please check the attached guidance before completing and submitting the GAR form.
